- Scope, purpose and legal basis for the processing of personal data
In the following situations we collect and use personal data directly from our users or from other sources (as shown below):
2.1. Provision of the website and creation of Logfiles
If you use Skeyos as a Supplier or a Purchaser, we will automatically collect data and information from the computer system of the calling computer. The following data ("technical information") is collected:
- IP address of the network from which the online service is accessed,
- Date and time of request,
- Size of transferred data,
- URI of the accessed data,
- Operating system and information regarding the internet browser used, including add-ons,
- HTTP Response Status Code
The data is also stored in the logfiles of our system. A storage of this data together with other personal data of the user does not take place.
We collect and use this technical information for the purposes of (network) security (e.g. to be able to combat cyber-attacks), marketing and to better understand the requirements of our users, as well as continuously improve our website to allow the user to reliably access the website.
The storage in Logfiles is done to ensure the functionality of the website. We also use the data to optimize the website and to ensure the safety of our information technology systems. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context. The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and Logfiles is Article 6 (1) lit. F GDPR.
Logfiles will be stored for a longer period of time and might be transferred to investigating authorities if they are needed as evidence if an incident took place. They will be subject to restriction of processing upon the final clearance of the matter.
We also collect data relating to your transactions as well as other data you enter or give us in any other way by using Skeyos. Furthermore, if you use Skeyos some information will be accessible for other users of Skeyos, e.g. like your company and real name.
2.1.1. Usage of Cookies
Skeyos makes use of so-called Cookies. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser downloads and stores on your computer. If a website is accessed again the internet browser sends the information in the Cookie back and enables the recognition of User. Some Cookies will be deleted at the end of the browser session, other Cookies will be deleted after a stated term.
You can prevent Cookies from being installed by changing the settings on your browser software accordingly. Please note that by blocking Cookies you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of Skeyos.

Skeyos uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc 1600, Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called 'Cookies'. These are text files that are saved on your computer and allow your usage of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the Cookie about your use of Skeyos (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case of activation of the IP anonymization, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatories of the agreement in the European economic zone. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. On behalf of the website operator Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google assures, that it will not merge your IP address with any other data held by Google.

The legal basis for the use of the listed tools is our legitimate interest in accordance with article 6 (1) lit. F GDPR for the purpose of increasing the efficiency of our website and (direct) marketing.

Skeyos does not use social plugins.
2.2. Use of the services offered on our website
On our website we offer a variety of different services. To be able to provide this, we must collect and process personal data of the user or of our customer.
2.2.1. When ordering our newsletter
On our website, you have the possibility to subscribe to our free of charge newsletter. When registering for the newsletter, the following data from the input form is transmitted to us and processed:
- Email address
- Surname, name, title
- Phone, mobile phone and fax number
- Date and time of registration
We process your data in connection with the newsletter to send you messages that inform you about interesting topics from Skeyos. In addition, we also process and use the email address you have entered to send you personalized offers in connection with the newsletter.
In regards of the dispatch of the newsletter, we use the services of Newsletter2Go GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. For these purposes, there will be personal data saved and processed on behalf of Newsletter2Go GmbH. Order data processing is limited to Germany. The data will not be passed on to any other third parties in connection with the data processing for the sending of newsletters. The data will only be used to send the newsletter. For the sending of our newsletter we need your consent. We use the so-called "double-opt-in" method. You will receive a welcome message after registration. In this you will be asked to click a link. Only after this click your email address is enabled for receiving emails. Should a link from the newsletter lead you to our websites, you also give us permission to process and use your IP address, as well as geo-data, web beacons or similar technologies to check whether the offers submitted to you have met your requirements.
The legal basis for the processing of the data after notification to the newsletter by the user is in the presence of a consent of the user art. 6 para. 1 lit. A GDPR.
2.2.2. Statistical evaluations
It is not excluded that your data for the evaluation of the preferences of our members ("Statistical evaluation") will be evaluated in a data warehouse for purposes of interest-oriented marketing, individual approach and the continuous optimization of our business processes. - Cost optimization (control and minimization)
2.4. Further processing obligations
If we are legally obligated to do so, we process personal data to comply with commercial or tax-related retention obligations or to comply with security law requirements (e.g. § 7 LuftSiG). For more information about retention periods, see "Duration of storage."
2.5. Obligation to indicate personal data
For legally stipulated or contractual requirements, we have identified in the entry masks on our website the respective input fields, which must be filled out by you, in order to be able to provide the desired contract or service.
- Duration of data processing
Your personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the aforementioned purposes. In this case, personal data may be stored for the period in which claims against Skeyos can be asserted (statutory limitation period of three to thirty years). Furthermore, personal data is stored as far as and as long as Skeyos is legally obliged to do so. Appropriate evidence and retention obligations arise, inter alia, from the Commercial Code, the tax code and the Money Laundering Act. The storage periods thereafter amount to up to ten years.
